Metal polishing kits

I would like to polish my non-clear aluminum rims up to a chrome-like appearance.



Does anyone know if Lowe's or Home Depot (or whoever) carries metal polishing kits?



You know, the ones with the pads and the blocks that have the diff't abrasive grits?

I have used the kit from 3M, its awesome. I have spent hours trying everything and this beats them all.

Well, unless it's chrome you are polishing you are never going to get a true "chrome" appearance. I think you mean the mirror look is what you want, correct?



If you are going to be polishing uncoated metals you can polish with a normal paint polish, like 3M SMR.
