Meridian Metallic Porsche 996 Turbo full correction and reconditioning

This particular owner brought me his Turbo for some major reconditioning, with the goal of bringing back every part of the car.  This low mile (9k) Turbo was a somewhat uncommon and unique color too.... like a rose gold/silver with hints of other colors in certain light.

Paint was to be corrected to as close to 100% as possible without compromising the clear.  A few individual scratches were too deep to remove safely, so the end result of several days work yielded 99% correction.  Interior had the carpets all cleaned, every leather surface (more than just the seats in these cars) cleaned and conditioned, every nook and cranny brushed out and vacuumed.  Some additional tidying up around the battery was also requested and carried out.

Total time invested 37hrs

After a thorough wash, decon, and clay, I started the correction of the swirls and scratches.

Onto the wheels, which had quite a bit of marring and just looked dull and lifeless

996Turbo22.jpg

So bad an actual color difference was visible with indirect light on a 50/50 shot

Spokes looking glossier now.

Someone attempted some sanding on the spoiler, and made a mess of it....

After much work, gloss and clarity was restored and the wing was looking proper

This was a particularly bad area and would take extensive work to remove all the defects safely.  There was a single scratch that had fully penetrated the clear and color and could not be repaired via detailing

This area took considerable time to remove all defects with the numerous sharp edges and flexible material.  The time put in was worth it.

Hard waterspot etching underneath the wing was needing removal

996Turbo50.jpg

Sorted.

Trunk trim panels removed to get to the next area needing attention...  A couple of rodents had made a home near the battery while the car was in storage.  Aftermath needed tidying up.
