Mercedes E55s AMG Wagon

This is one of the first truly expensive cars I have ever detailed, one of only twenty in the US if I understand correctly. Didn't help that it was a car belonging to my new boss. ;) Took several days to complete, as I was going for perfection with the paint correction. The color is this crazy custom order called Jade Black, black from some angles, dark forest green from others, which turned out to be incredibly hard to photograph well (didn't help the morning was stupid bright.) Because of this, I apologize for the lack of photos. I'll try to take more later this week when I lay down another layer of wax.

Have to say, this Mercedes clear really is tough to cut. Was using the fairly aggressive Uber Orange pad with SIP, and I still had to make second passes on the majority of the panels.

I also really wish I had some Swissvax Concourso or Mystery lying around...or Crystal Rock. This car deserves better than my Samurai. :nervous2:

What I was up against...over the entire car.

The car had endured four years of dealership and car shop...ahem, details. More swirl marks than you could shake a stick at. They were so bad I didn't even know the car was actually green because...well, the swirl marks pulled all of my attention.

Enjoy. :)

Absolutely beautiful. I love wagons. Those are rare indeed. I dunno about 20... but they're rare. Maybe that color or something.

My favorite wagon - awesome work.

FYI - I think there were a couple hundred (maybe 200 total) that made it to the US for the 05-06 model years. Still, very rare.

Haha, thanks guys. ;) I'll get better pictures when I wax her one more time.

No, I'm not getting a raise, but I've solidified my position as their detailer. :) Thanks to them, I've been able to go from doing this as a side job to being able to make some real cash.
