Mequairs Ultimate wash and wax

mild cleaning power and sheets pretty well when rinsing, but doesn't clean well if the car is pretty dirty. the only thing is it cost around $9-$10 for a 48oz bottle and there isn't any savings for the dilution ratio since it's 1oz to a gallon like most washes. i prefer the gold class wash instead, but still not a bad product overall...

You've been given a free jug of Ultimate Wash & Wax? Ty all means use it on your car and see how it works for you and report back the results.

I've used it three times so far on our cars. UW&W seems to clean just fine, and it's fun to watch the water sheet off. I still haven't decided how it compares to the other washes I have used.

In order to get the benefit of the wax, you need to let the shampoo sit on the surface for 30-60 secs before rinsing off. This has required me to change my wash routine just a little bit. I now wash several panels more before I rinse off. But don't let it dry on the surface, though! Also don't use high pressure when washing off. You don't want to wash off the dispersed wax that is starting to adhere to the paint surface.

UWW does seem to leave a little extra gloss behind, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra money one pays for it. But I got my jug with a $5 rebate, so that made it economical for me. My car water spots very easily, given the minerals in our water, so I always have to wipe down the car with a quick detailer after I dry the car. I wonder if any of the dispersed wax from the shampoo survives a quick detailer wipedown. I would doubt it. Ultimately, I just want a shampoo that will clean well and rinse off clean. After this jug is done, I'll probably go back to one of my other shampoos.

That's the the thing. I use ONR because the water at my house is extremely hard. So I just get two jugs of di water and go from there. So doing this would be hard on the car.

i like it better than gold class, i love the way it smells, and if you let it sit for 30-60 seconds like al said yo do get a nice gloss (like as if you QD) but on dirty vehicles you should make multiple passes anyway

Well, it sounds like you don't need the jug of UW&W. Give it to a friend or neighbor. :)

I'm a sucker for detailing products that smell good, and I don't know about now but I only paid $6 for it a wal mart awhile back.

I would agree that the shine it leaves is better than other washes. That being said I think the price/size is a little high. Unsure if I'll buy it again as of right now.

I like this one better Simple Green Car Wash It suds like crazy, smells good, and is "safe" for the environment. Besides, I normally follow a wash with a quick wax any way, so why bother with a "wash & wax"? Sounds like $$$ going down the drain to me.

it seems i would have used it if i could....but with my hard water situation, i sadly cant.

ill give it to a good friend then lol.....and give my other "friends" my turtle wax ICE line....

Have you compared the two back to back? It's a little tough to say you like one better than another if you haven't. Also, the idea is that you don't need to use a quick wax after. It might not be my favorite wash yet but I'd hardly say it's money down the drain either. It is a new and original idea for a wash product to leave this much additional shine over a wash alone.
