Is it necessary to apply wax after applying Menzerna FMJ? I have never done so, but was recently told I should also apply wax after the sealant.

No, it isn't necessary. FMJ was a fine product. Adding wax will increase the depth of shine and may offer more protection, but is is up to you whether you would like to or not.
