Menzerna vs. Optimum

I have a pretty quick question, basically opinions and explanations wanted.

Would you guys recommend Menzerna product line or the Optimum product line via rotary?

I have only heard awesome things about Menzerna, but not sure if this was PC or rotary use.

On the other side, I have heard of Optimum's great workability with a rotary, especially for beginners.

Opinions, comments, or even other products you like better via rotary welcomed.

:thx

I'd say optimum. With the extended working time of optimum, it lends itself to be a great rotary product. With the 3 levels of polishes, ocp, occ, and ohc, plus mixes of the three, you can get polishes that will suite every situation. its a great line.

It is black, but I have never really used a rotary before.

I will not be "learning" on my car persay, but would like something that will work the best, and not leave me frustrated.

Have you used both? I have heard Optimum polishes to a LSP ready surface. What would the difference be with the Menzerna line?

Keep in mind I am just going off of what I have seen/heard/read, so I cannot base anything on my own experience, which is why I turned to you guys.

I wish I could buy and try them all, but my wallet gets angry when I do that...:)

I use both products via PC so I am not sure if I can help but Menzerna seems to have a clearer finish and Optimum a wetter finish. Menzerna does dust a little, Optimum pretty much none.

Awesome info Scottwax. If there is one thing I dislike the most, it is dusting.

SMR via PC drives me CRAZY!

Maybe I should use the PC with different products, like Menzerna, more before stepping up to the rotary, but, I hate how long it takes on the PC to achieve results. Hmm...opinions?

Not sure what I am doing different besides priming the pads..but I never get dusting from Menzerna.

Hard to compare them.

Optimum is more forgiving on the rotary so that's a plus for you.

Hard to beat the range of Menzerna polishes, especially if you have some serious paint correction to do.

Still, Optimum will do the job just fine, and you won't need anything else.

Yes, I think that is the only way to tell. Seems most everything the well-known companies are putting out is good these days!

I think I'll go with the Optimum first due to it's forgiving capabilities on the rotary...plus..you get a whole lot for the money!

Do what I do and have the best of both worlds

Light swirls - FPII or po85rd

Mod swirls - Optimum Polish

Heavy Swirls and Scratches - Powergloss

Those are honestly the only polish I use. THey work amazing and I havnt found anythnig that works better.

I use Optimum Hyper, Compound and Polish via rotary, but I tend to prefer products with shorter work in times, and I would go for Mezerna. GSRstilez's results with Mezerna on his rotary are outstanding.
