Menzerna vs. Einszett?

So the Menzerna twins vs. Einszett Polish and Einszett Metallic. They will be followed by P21S GEPC and Klasse AIO/SG.

If I were doing a full detail I'd probably use all or 2 of the 1z polishes, maybe 1z IP if the paint wasn't responding somewhere along the line and then finish off with FP. Yeah, over the top, but purely for fun at that point. I have GEPC, I'm thinking its probably pointless to use it if I'm going to use AIO then SG because the AIO will probably strip it. But knowing me, I'd probably add that too just for the hell of it :o

GEPC will add nothing to either Menzerna or Mettalic if you are going to just use AIO anyways.

I use the 1Z products all the time and love them. But if you are going to AIO, I don't think it matters which products you use. I always heard that Menzerna products work better with a rotary and 1Z is better with a PC or by hand.

GEPC however will add nothing to the equation in this case.

Yeah, either way, I'd sure skip the GEPC; I can't imagine it accomplishing anything.

I've used the FP (but not the IP) by D/A and it worked fine, so it's not a rotary-only product. But the 1Z stuff is about as user-friendly as it gets and would generally be my recommendation. If you're working by hand, or not too experienced with a PC, I'd certainly go with the 1Z.

i agree with Accumulator.. after using the 1z polishes, they are by far the easiest, with really good results... i have menzerna as well, but find the fp2 takes more time to remove.. but i have yet to try them with a rotary.. when i do ill see if theres any difference... doubt it will be that significant...

I'm pretty sure the IZ products have oils and fillers that will just be removed with AIO. Menzerna is the only stuff I have found that will work well under AIO.

OK, so scratch the GEPC.

AIO/SG used to be the hot ticket over here...now I see that it's VM/EX-P. What will the second option offer over the first when going over 1Z polishes?

No real difference. The 1Z polishes *do* contain oils and waxes, which can be considered "fillers", but they also contain abrasives. Plenty of us use them before AIO or VM. If you want, you can remove the stuff the 1Z leaves behind with a water/rubbing alcohol mix, or just let the cleaners in AIO/VM do it.

Or just choose different polishes, but don't expect them to be as user-friendly as the 1Z stuff. Some that work well by hand/PC include Meg's #80 and 3M PI-III MG (05937). These also work just fine before AIO.

Klasse vs. VM/EX-P is like Coke vs. Pepsi. Nothing wrong with either and it's splitting hairs to choose between them. IMO the Klasse twins probably offer more protection, though.

In fact, if you are using the 1Z products, I don't thing that vanilla moose will add anything over the 1Z metallic polish. I have used EX over the 1Z metallic and thought it a good combination. Vanilla Moose will just duplicate what Metallic does as I understand VM to be a polish with some fillers, like 1Z. I have yet to find a product like Metallic that I like better than metallic. That being said, I have not used VM, but I have used a ton of other stuff.

From top to bottom of their line, I find 1 Z tops.

I haven't tried waxpolish soft, but I plan on getting some. I have used the Ultra, Paint, and Metallic polishes and the Glanz wax. I like each one alot. The WPS sounds like Metallic with a bit more bite, which sounds great to me. I like the Glanz wax alot also.

I also have AIO and SG and agree that they are good products. I find SG a bit difficult to work with. I have 2 black cars and find the SG just is a pain to take off. I have tried everyone's different method for removal and find that I would rather just use Glanz wax than go through all the issues with SG. Besides, Glanz lasts as long according to most reviews and is much easier to work with. Also, Metallic contains carnuba waxes that will last 4 to 6 weeks or so. That has been my experience

Of course, that being said, I have alot of waxes and polishes and always seem to be touching up a fender with Metallic and then throwing on a layer of S100, or just putting on a layer of EX because I can use it in the sun. .

However, when I need to get something done and done right, I always reach for the 1Z polishes.

I have never tried the 1Z .. up here in CanaDUH it has to be shipped ground because its deemed flamable which makes it non-cost effective.

Potomac- If using the AIO, I'd use the Pro version of MP (round, 1-liter can) instead of the regular, pink MP or the WSP. The AIO is just gonna clean off all that extra wax anyhow. The Pro MP is a tiny bit more abrasive and contains less wax. More appropriate, IMO, before the Klasse twins.

I've just spent this afternoon using 1Z PP / VM / EX-P. This combination is as good as anything I've previously used on my light grey metallic paintwork. All three are very user friendly products, easy to apply, easy to remove, great results! What more could you want? Well hopefully durability... I'll just have to wait and see.
