Menzerna Power Gloss

I am looking for something more abrasive than 3M Perfect it III Rubbing Compound. I'm thinking maybe Power Gloss. I really like the other Menzerna stuff. Problem is that Power Gloss is made for a rotary and I will be using a PC. Anybody using PG with a PC and getting good results? Also how much more abrasive is PG compared to 3M RC? TIA

PG, especially, and the rest of the M line were originally designed to be used with a rotary. I tried IP with my PC, but ended up just not staisfied. At the time I had better success with my PC.

However, I did a black Lightning on Labor Day weekend (swirled heavily all over) and this time did most of it with PG and my Makita - Wow! Awsome combination. Where I didn'y use the Makita, in the tight curves by the side steps, used 1Z Ultra and the PC and it did a good job there. Then used 1Z PP after the PG and finished up with FP and a gray finishing pad on the Makita. I was very pleased with the final results (See some pix in Click & Brag - "Did a Lighnting this weekend")

PI III is for a rotory only as well. If you use it on a dark colored car your going to get a lot of hazing. I've even tried ssr3 with a cutting pad and it didnt do to good. As a matter of fact my friend did PG/polishing pad and did made his finish worse. I tried everything with a pc and nothing worked. Im gonna need to go at it with a rotory.

I use the 3M Perfect it III products with a PC all the time and get good results. I even use it by hand and get good results. Never had any problems with hazing. In fact on lite colored cars I can use Perfect it III Rubbing Compound and a polishing pad and get a ready to wax finish. The problem is sometimes if the finish is bad I need to make many applications of RC to get rid of the swirls and it takes a long time to finish the car. I want to find something more abrasive to eliminate swirls quicker. I was hopeing Power Gloss would do it. Maybe 1Z Ultra?
