Menzerna Power Finish PO 203

You may need to be the product tester on this one. :)
The product hasn't been out for too long and because it is a little pricey, it may not have seen a lot of use just yet.

Just think, for only $40 less the 10% DC discount, you can be the first to review the stuff. :bigups

Any opinions on this product before I spend $40?

:help:

Mark,

What is this new product...meaning what's it designed to do?

EDIT

I looked it up its a SWR..the menzerna is an excellent line...I don't think that you can go wrong with one of there products....now that I know what it is...why do you want it?...what are you trying to accomplish?

I need a one step polish that will take out swirl marks, scratches, etc. I was thinking SSR2.5 would be good too?

If that's what you are looking for and have considered PB line...its the direction that I would go...its at a much better price then Menzerna, producing equal results IMO, its a more user friendly product. Meaning it can be used by hand or machine...I would look at SSR 2.5 as your heavier cut, and either the P-w-C or P-w-S as the lighter cut...personally I use the P-w-C a lot.

That's my take

In my experience, SSR 2.5 works very much like Meguiar's #83 DACP.
On many vehicles, they leave the paint ready for the LSP, but some paints seem to need a follow up with a less aggressive polish to be LSP ready.
If I remember correctly, you are a hobby detailer so time isn't necessarily money to you. If that's the case, you might be happier with SSR 2. Leaves the paint LSP ready and takes out most blemishes. Just takes a little more polishing time to get the results.

Last week I purchased the new PO203 and it is awesome to say the least. IMO it is different than SSR2.5. In correction ability I would rate them close SSR might be a little stronger. The SSR would be easlier to work with. As far as looks SSR is shinier while the po 203 is deeper and wetter. Worth the money.. definitely!

I have their final polish II it has no oil or fillers so you can tell if the surface is really free of flaws and ready for the LSP.
It is expensive but very good but I reserve it to the show car not for a daily driver.

M80 followed by #3 will look just as good :D

Tell me how SSR is "easier to work" with please.

I found that the Menzerna is harder to work with because it does not glide under the pad as easily as SSR. A light mist of water on the pad before I buffed seemed to help out a decent amount. The SSR dusts a considerable amount more but some feel it is worth it. Reason being is that when the dusting occurs that is a sign to keep an eye on the polish because it has reached it's breaking down stage. This is how you know there willl be little if no marring because the abrasives have completely broken down. The Menzerna requires you to do periodic wipedowns of your work area to check the condition of your paint which adds to your work. For the price SSR's cannot be beat IMO. I hope this answers your question.:)

I will be ordering some soon. I have heard with a FLex it will cut close to SIP and finish down as nice or better then 106ff. We shall see how it works with a PC and 4" pads

I watched the Menzerna videos on youtube. It looks flawless but also looks like brain surgery and a lot of experience to get it right.

I might give it a shoot someday. Always looking to add to my detailing supplies. Just waiting for more folks to post their findings on this product. What i would like to try is 106FA.
