I was just looking at my e-mail from smartcarcare and for 60.54 euros (shipped), back in October, I got a combo of 1 litre of PO85RD and 500 ml of PO106FF. I was pretty pleased with their service and communications on the order and shipping info.

I think it was SpoiledMan who posted the info on smartcarcare.

I had a very good buying experience with Smartcarcare.com. Package arrived inside of 7 days (about the same time it takes to come from Florida) and packaged well. Price was actually reasonable with all things factored in. I got a quart and a half of product fro ~$70 shipped. That's like getting the products in the states with free shipping.:) I ordered RE5 and 85RD from them for reference.

Porta, lets talk about the 3.02. That's a better version of IP correct?

Daragh at smartcarcare is a great guy with fast shipping and good prices.

Spoiledman: RD3.02 is the newest version of IP, cuts faster and gives a nice shine, even on darker cars and with longer work time. My favourite. IMO much better then the "old IP" (PO91L).

*Clears throat* I do like to take some credit for sharing SCC with Autopia first :D hehe(I'd have to go back but I think I was the one who told SM or maybe him and I got the info at the same time)

Anyways, I just placed another order of 1500mL of 85RD and I still recommend them as an excellent overseas vendor.

I am getting ready to do a 450 Euro deal with SCC..all Menzerna...1.5 litres per box....for the best shipping rates....

I have 450 Euros from last trip and need to spend them..lol..whats a better way to spend than polish and stuff...

Truth is, 106FF simply cuts more but they finish the same. 106 is the more versatile of the two. *I* like the 85RD for having less cut so that I can polish more often.:)

As Spoiledman said...

the 106FF has a cut of 2.5 and a gloss of 5

the 085rd has a cut of 1.5 and gloss of 5

these are measured on a scale of 1 to 5....

they just give the paint a look thats hard to beat..

Hehe, Al, what better way to spend some money :) You may want to do a bulk buy and sell them to members and I know there would definately be some very happy takers out there.

I am using a pc does it really apply to me about how much cut each polish has?

I mean i still polish the car about 3 times a year.

Absolutely-Although less of importance of course with a PC than by hand, you will not want to use a 3.0 Cut on a car and call it done (well you can...). There is a significant difference between 3 and 1.5 for example and with lighter cut polishes, you'll want to use a nice polish pad to clean up any micro-marring the heavier cut polish/compound created. Now the difference between 2.5 to 3 is much smaller than 2.0 to 3 or 1.5 to 3.

This is also of course in conjunction with your pad combination

i used 106FF and it left the nicest finish I have ever seen, but i like to polish alot so I just dont want to polish the CC too much. With PO85 my train of thought i can still get the look I want with removing minor marring and not have to worry about taking too much CC off

Does it take off that much CC? and how often do you polish?. I'd think with a light polishing or finishing pad, 106FF would be very mild
