Menzerna PO106FF

It finishes very nice, I think better then FPII on dark colors. But I use FPII on my white car since I'm sure it would be hard to tell between the two on white.

I have it ( thankfully, thanks Flatstick) use it mostly on my Black truck. I use it instead of IP and follow up with PO85RD or FP. It does dust for me when I put to much product on.

I settle for a little dust from improper product placement when I see my finish of the Black truck.

Have noticed when reading about PO106FF that people think of it as replacing FP or FPll. PO85RD replaces FP OR FPll. PO106FF replaces IP unless I am reading this chart from menzerna wrong. Just for your information. http://www.menzerna.de/files/E_Polish.pdf

You can't get the PO85RD anymore right?

Menzerna USA stopped importing PO85RD the beginning of this year. I believe its still available in other countries; although once you factor in international shipping, etc. it can be quite costly.

Kirk: From what I read online and the charts, PO106FF can actually be used as a finishing polish. Seeing how it finishes with a gloss of 5/5, and its only .5 more cut than FPII (2.5 vs 2.0), I'm not sure if its really worth it to use FP/FPII/PO85RD after the PO106FF. This is if your using PO106FF with a polishing pad, maybe you'll get micromarring with a more aggressive pad?

Am always glad to be informed.

Have had great results using PC or rotary with both. Usually I use a more agressive pad i.e. LC light cut orange or LC yellow cutting pad when using PO106FF. Then follow up with P085RD using LC white polishing pad sometimes an LC black finishing pad.

Guess all that work could have been skipped with the use of an LC white polishing pad, eh!:wall

PO106FF has a cut of 2.5 and Intensive Polish (PO 91) has a cut of 3.5.

:)

Menzerna PO106FF has anybody used this?????

The Menzerna products are very confusing... does P0106FF have a name? I saw a couple charts that people had equated names with the cryptic code names; wish someone would make a sticky like the acronymns.

It doesn't have a common name that I am aware of...just PO106FF.

has anybody used the new blackfire product made to do what p085 did?

The Blackfire Scratch Restant Clearcoat Compound is designed to remove 1500-2000 grit swirls and scratches form a ceramic or scratch resistant clear coat. It is the closest thing you can find on the market right now to the PO85RD from Menzerna.

I think the name is Final Finish Hi cut
I just call it AWESOME. ;) And I use it as my final coat and do not see any difference in the shine compared to PO85RD. The new Black Fire FP is also very close to the 085RD if you are looking for a replacement and do not want to use 106ff or don't need 32ozs.

Actually the new BlackFire polish *IS* PO106FF with added lubrication. It was designed for CMA by Menzerna.

It is *NOT* PO85RD.

I spoke with the folks at CMA and those were their exact words when I purchased the new BlackFire polish and compound. The compound is more abrasive than the polish and PO106FF obviously.

Yep, this is exactly what I was told, too.

How is the compound? Stronger than IP?
