Menzerna: Pc, Cyclo, Or Rotary

Can you use a PC or Cyclo with Menzerna or is it strictly for use with a rotary? It seems that most products mentioned on this site are PC/Cyclo friendly, but you need to work it longer or make multiple passes. I have all 3, so it doesn't really matter to me. Just wanted to know how everyone applies their Menzerna polishes and compound.

I use my Menzerna strictly with my rotary. The only product I would consier applying by PC would be FMJ with a finishing pad in order to spread a more even, thin coat on the vehicle.

I have done IP and FPII with PC and IP/FPII/PG with rotary.
I would just not use PG with a rotary, might leave alot of haze.

Menzerna works best by rotary but I use it most with my Cyclo and sometimes the PC with good results. It's usually my go to set of polishes. On extremely light marring, say in door jams, I've even used IP and FP by hand successfully.I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use it without a rotary

I don't have a rotary or a polish machine and don't plan on getting one so I will be using hand application for swirl removal. Any other product suggestions? Gain paint is great nice n shiney but up close you can see scratches, swirls and blemishes. :headbang

It's very difficult to completely remove paint defects, even swirls, without a machine. Working by hand can only go so far especially. Some paints barely respond to paint polishing by hand at all. To get the look of removed swirls from using a product by hand you'll need a product with fillers. Also, you might only be limited to applying a wax or a sealant with wax over these products because some pure sealants are incompatible with the fillers.

A polisher such as a PC for about $109 from Lowes, basically standard issue to the serious enthusiast, is a terrific inverstment in upkeeping the appearance and value of your car. Well worth it IMHO

Best swirl remover by hand?

I wonder then if I am better off trying the Poorboy's SSR2.5 and SSR3? :dunno :headbang :naughty

Probably, i have some to trade just FYI

Re: Best swirl remover by hand?

I've only used it via rotary and it currently sits at the top of my polish arsenal. The results are stellar.

PC does the job for me with the Menzerna twins. May take longer than a rotary ( dont know, never used one ), but Im not a professional with time constraints so I am not overly concerned. I love the fact that it is filler free and leaves that beautiful, squeaky clean surface. :)

Here's what IP and FP II can do with a PC on 5 speed with a meguiars polishing pad:
