Menzerna Makeover - Maxima flake pics

Detailed my fathers maxima this weekend. It's silver with flake in it, the FMJ & FTG really brought it out. I've used this on several others like the lexus white pearl and the flake really sparkles.



Process -

Washed with GC

Clayed with Blue Magic and water

Micro Polish / CMA White / PC on 5

FTG / MicroFinger Pad / PC on 3.5

FMJ by hand with microfinger pad



I really like using the microfinger pad with FTG, i use a lot less and it seems to work in quicker.

We tried to take some pics in the school parking lot, but as soon as we started we got attacked by bees (you can see a couple in the shot), they were immediately attracted to the paint :nixweiss

Dang thats bright! Very cool. Been thinking of Menzerna, but I think their polishes work best with a rotary. What are the advantages of finger pads? :xyxthumbs
 
Thanks SilvaBimma, yea menzerna polishes do work best with the rotary but you can get good results with FPII and the PC. The microfinger pads are great for LSP's or glazes, definitly not polishing as there is no cutting ability. They don't "absorb" as much product as foam or MF applicator do and you wind up using much less product, they are pretty amazing.

I used Meg's High Endurance High Gloss.



Almost, they were crawling on my camera, i was only able to get a few shots.

Hows the megs endurance gloss stuff? IS it the spray or the gel?

I really like a little gloss look. Yours looks awesome!:bow

Also does it sling at all?
 
I believe the High Gloss is only available in a gel. I'm guessing you applied it very thinly :)

Intercooled - the meg's endurance is a gel, there is a spray called Hot Shine High Gloss spray with the adjustable spray pattern. I really don't get any sling from it, although i have heard some do.



SilvaBimma - i try to keep it thin, but he likes a high gloss look so I did multiple coats.

VERY weird you comment on the bees. The day after I did my car with FMJ, there were nats and flies resting on it when I came out to the parking lot. Time of the year or passion for FMJ :) ?
