Menzerna Lineup

I am beginning to detail for classic car enthusiats and some have asked about Menzerna Products. Many of their products features seem to overlap each other which is confusing to say the least! To those who use their products regularily, what would the singular best choices be cover the full spectrum from compounding to final polish?

Menserna makes great polishes, but their compounds are the absolute worst ever. All time favorites are SIP and 85rd.

I don't have much experience with there compounds but I use SIP, Power Finish, Final Finish, and PO85RD with great results. I like the work time and the finish is second to none, IMO.

SIP 106fa

85 has very little cut so it would only be a final polish with a gray pad with little or no correction

106fa with a whit pad will remove light swirls and still finish 90% of 85 IMO

So if I was looking to do a two step correction would SIP and 106fa be the go to products from Menzerna?

I have and use SIP, 106ff and 85rd, and I agree with you (I assume there is no real difference between 106ff and fa)

IMO yes that is what i use

SIp has decent cut but deeper imperfections might need more bite

Again, I agree.

SIP will work great on regular/average swirls, but badly neglected paint with heavy swirls will need something stronger (such as M105 etc.).

I just purchased 105 but have not used it, but have a few RIDS I need to take care of i think 105 is just the ticket

I have used the Menzerna products for 5 years. With all of the changes they make in their naming conventions I presently use SIP for medium swirls followed by 106ff. When I get deeper swirls and RID's I have used Power Gloss that does have a better cut. I tried the FMJ as a final polish but the durability sucked. I now use Blackfire Wet Diamond and it is great.
