Menzerna FPII..

After hearing raves about Menzerna products, I got myself a PC with IP and FPII. Since

I have never used FPII before, I thought I'd hand polish a test spot with FPII. My car

is black and has some hair line scratches on the bumper that you can see under the sun.

I tried FPII with a foam pad by hand and didn't get a good result. The FPII polish left

a milky white spot on the the unrubbed area. I coudn't wipe the milky white spot with

my micro fiber. I had to use Zaino Z-PC to clean the white spot. In fact, I get better result

with Z-PC. At least by hand. Unlike FPII, unrubbed Z-PC can easily be wiped down with

my micro fiber. I'm now reluctance to try my new PC with FPII. I think I'm going with Z-PC

first. Am I missing something with FPII?
 
Was the surface hot when you started? Did you use too much product? Not work it long enough? It turns kind of clear when it's done working and appears as a thin film of light oil. It will remove easily at that point.

I think the surface temperature was fine. I'm talking about the unrubbed area where the polish left behind by the foam pad edge when spreading. Unlike zpc, I couldn't wipe the left behind FPII with my micro fiber.

May be I'll try a test spot with the PC. I noticed that IP comes in cream color where FPII is

is gray. Is that what you have? I hope I'm not getting some bad FPII.
 
The color of the products seem fine. My guess is still that the area that you are having trouble removing the polish is because it isn't broken down and also being allowed to dry. When you give it a go by PC you shouldn't experience this issue unless you use too much product.

Mine is gray, too. You should be fine. :)

Okay, I tried FPII again on my door's frame and I don't see the problem that

I saw earlier. Strange! Perhaps, my bumper was hot or something. I'm using

halogen light to test my door's frame so I'll check again under the sun tomorrow.

Glad I could offer something. Be patient when you venture into using IP. It can be dusty and a little stubborn by PC. Keep a spray bottle full of distilled water handy and mist a little if it becomes difficult to remove. Once you get it down, you'll be able to put the spray bottle away.:)

I have managed to remove the hazes with 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. Lightly wipe over

the haze spot with a foam pad and follow up with MF towel.
