Menzerna FPII - Please Help Out a Newbie!!

Should be getting my Black Sapphire 335 coupe within a couple weeks, and NEED to get my detailing products ordered (new to detailing). I'm thinking about using Menzerna's Final Polish II. I'm counting on not having much (if any) swirls or scratches, so I'm not sure I need a polish in the first place, and I'm very worried about screwing up my paint by using a product with abrasives. Is there much risk in using FPII? How hard is it to work with? I will be applying it by hand, if that makes any difference.



Here's the rest of my planned lineup (please feel free to comment/offer suggestions!):



1. Wash (Gold Class or Duragloss 901)

2. Clay Magic

3. [NOT SURE - Paint Cleanser?? Nothing??]

4. FPII (if needed/safe in my hands!)

5. RMG (maybe- might eliminate this step - opinions??)

6. PB's EX-P

7. PB's NB



I'm also not sure about a QD product (looking at PB, AW, UQD), and confused between "true" QDs, waterless spray washes and spray-on wax "boosters".

by hand you will have your work cut out for you but a finishing polish would be fine or you could just use a glaze also then top with your lsp's. Agreat qd is FK1 antistatic and shines like crazy but PB QD is another good one. good luck with your new ride.

ps you cant screw anything up sticking with finishing polishes.

Thanks, Zin. When you say I'll have my work cut out for me, is that because FP is one of those products that must be "broken down" by working it into the paint (which, of course, would be must easier with a PC or UDM)? Would you use FP only if my car has some swirls, etc., or is there some other benefits to be gained? Thanks again! PK
 
All I mean is that polishing a car by hand is alot of work as far as Menzerna you will love the product. It will shine just from useing the FPII and you will get rid of any imperfections .

I am sorry but I think you stretching it way toooooo much...

Menzerna products are known here to work better useing a machine and since you are

gettin in to it, I think you should invest in one " A Portal Cable=PC for a start".



As far as fine polish Menzerna FPII is good but Menzerna 106FF is even finer than FPII

as far as I know, which I own both. Good luck and congrats in your new car.
