Menzerna confusion

Ok, I have the old CMA purple label Menzerna stuff in the garage (FPII, IP, FMJ, PG, etc), but just seen that it was being discontinued and the Menzerna-Germany stuff is now being offered. So my question is two-fold:

1: Is there a significant difference between the old stuff and the stuff they are selling now? If so, what is it?

2. I see that there are 2 options now...a line for cermaic clears, and a line for regular clears. If I wanted something for a 2006 Sapphire Metallic Black BMW, which would I need? I cant seem to hunt down an answer regarding the hardness of the clear or if its ceramic or not. I just dont want to buy the wrong stuff...

As always, any help is appreciated! TIA!

Alright, I'll give it a shot.

1. If I understand correctly, at one time (until a few years ago), CMA was the exclusive importer, and therefore packaged the products as they saw fit (purple label). Now, they either have just given up with their unique packaging because the Menzerna products are in wider distribution, or they have been asked to give up their unique packaging. So, the answer is no, if it's the same product name, it's the same product.

2. The Menzerna products that are intended for ceramic clears have a different type of abrasive and lubricant. Intially there was some concern that the more effective abrasive would remove too much clear on softer paints, but that seems to have been unfounded, and generally speaking people find the ceramiclear-intended products to give better results, although some seem to be frustrated by some masking/filling of the lubricants and difficulty removing them. Some members also feel that on softer clears, good ol' FPII is the best finishing polish.

I've done my best to give you an answer, if I was inaccurate, my apologies.
