Menzerna Clarification

Looking at getting some menzerna polishes. Was going with IP and FP, but then noticed SIP and Micro polish, and nano.



From research I have done it appears SIP is better than IP as it cuts faster and finishes down better (also 2x as much). Is there a difference between Micro and FP? I understand Nano is for the cermiclear coatings. Don't want to break the bank but want to make sure I get the correct products and not duplicate each other. I do vehicles in spare time so not only will this be used on my own Ford and Madza vehicles. Could I get by with IP and FP or when I be better off with SIP and FP or Micro or Nano.

I have IP and FP. It works pretty good. I have heard that alot of people recommended SIP and nano over the IP and FP. Everyone will probably to say to go with SIP and nano.
 
As stated above, people will recommend SIP and 106ff (nano), and is also what I would recommend.
 
From what I have read the 106F Nano is great for really hard clear coats. Mercedes, 2004 and earlier BMWs and the like.



If you have a softer clear coat the Final Polish II would be basically the same but less 'grabby'



I also have seen reports that the Merzerna products take an effort to break down properly... ether a full blown rotary or perhaps a Flex XC3401 Orbital. The Porter Cable should work but would take roughly 30%-50% more work.
 
They will both work fine. SIP and Nano are gonna be better, you get what you pay for, if you want to put up the extra $40 to go with Sip/106ff then do it.
 
Though most of the above are accurate, let me add just a bit of clarity here -PO106FF (or the Blackfire SRC equivalent) are better than FPII for everything - more cut, better finish, better buffing characteristics and is better with a dual action polisher or rotary, regardless of how long you work the product - it simply uses superior abrasives...so absolutely worth the extra change.



Similarily, SIP is better than IP...though I personally don't believe SIP provides more cut than IP, it finished down so much better that it has rendered IP obsolete (IP uses a few number of larger abrasives and tends to leave more micromarring/buffer swirls behind whereas SIP uses a higher number of smaller abrasives).
