Menzerna application question

I've read the reviews on Menzerna and have my bottles of Intensive and Final Polish sitting in my box of unopened supplies. I was going to try them out tomorrow, but had questions about application.

In the booklet CMA sends, they are using Advanced Pads- I assume these aren't necessary- but what pads should I use? I think David said that he had success with the yellow pad for Intensive and grey pad for the final polish.

Also- it recommends water for lubricant, but I think David used EO Wet wipe 'n shine so I was going to use that. It says spray lightly, but some of the reviews say to apply it more liberally. What's the concensus? Also since I've never worked with either or these products, I was going to strip off my Moose Wax, clay, Menzerna twins, Vanilla moose wax, then Souveran.

If I do use the grey pad for the final polish- is it a problem if I use the white pad for the VMW? I'm so cautious about how and what on my car---sorry for all the questions. Thanks!

It goes this way: if your paint has some defects, use the polish (or compound) foam with the intensive polish. Just spray it with water, will work fine.

Use the finshing foam with the final polish, use more than you're used to, it'll be worked in no time. Repeat untill you get glass like finish.

Use VM by hand, after all the defects must be gone by now.

I just used the polish. I have to say, IT WAS EXCELLENT!!:bow

I did not use the intensive. I already had a good base, so I just clay-bared. I used the grey finishing pad & removed with a MF. Worked great. I then went with BF1, which sort of brought down my Menzerna shine. (check out my post) I buffed with a MF bonnet & then went to the Klasse SG.....I'm on my 3rd layer. It's comm'n around good. after the SG.......probably Souveran & then some liquid Souveran.

PEACE

I am still experimenting with the menzerna, so far it has been impressive and jpv is right it is really a glass like finish, like a very thin layer, not the deepest but really nice. I am still trying to figure out the right combination to put over it, I put AIO over it and I think it looked better before the AIO. I am thinking of putting UPP over the final polish, seems like a good match considering the final polish doesn't have any fillers. I am also thinking of just putting S100 over the final polish. Guess I need to experiment. I haven't used the intense polish on anything that was in bad condition yet so I don't know how good a cleaner it is, but it looked nice afterwards and seemed to compliment the final polish.
