So i just bought a bottle of Menzerna Nano 106 polish and i will be using it on a 2007 MB Cls 550 in the Charcoal grey...so my Q is this...if the paint is in good shape (it is a brand new car after all) can i just use this polish to remove the minor defects, or will i need to use a compound or more intensive polish first...i have the pinnacle line, the xmt line, and i was gonna finish with some Liquid Souverain...I am also using a PC and have every pad imaginable (thanks autogeek) Any help or info would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Welcome rezbmr, If it was me i would wash the MB and when it's dry put it in the sun to see if has any particulars or imperfections of any kind. If it does then use a clay bar removed them. Then you can use your 106FF on the PC. From there you can use your liquid Souverain. But it's up to you. Pic's when you can when your done with your MB.

yeah...thats what i planned to do...i figure i don't need an ip or sip cause the paint is so new...what pad would you recommend for the polish? white or orange? i imagine i'll start with the white and move to the orange if i need more cut...I will def post the pics when i'm done...if only it was my MB, but its actually a customer car...thanks for the info

Once you clay bar the MB, then take a good look at it in the sun. If it is great shape then just use a white pad. Hope it comes out great!:up

me too...no matter what i'm gonna clay it and polish it, I mean the customer saw another benz i did in black and wondered why his brand new one did not look as good...lol...i told him not to worry and that it will...he's gonna love that souverain!!!!

Just remember gray will never look as great as black! :D The MB dark grey can look really nice though. I just did a dark grey M6 this weekend and it looked amazing. It was cloudy so I could not get great before and after pictures, though...

yeah black is the best, but also the hardest to satisfy picky customers...and def the hardest to work with... I just hope that polish specially formulated for ceramiclear works like people say it does...considering it is a 50 dollar bottle of polish...oh my
