Menzerna 106FF vs Optimum Polish.

Are these products identical in any way?.

both when not used with a finishing pad, will still finish down nicely.

both is very very well lubricated to prevent dry buffing.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on both these products when compared to each other.

thanks

Here are some pics of 106FF in action

Used with a Detailogy one-step orange pad and a Makita 9227C rotary @ 600-900-600 rpms

Hood is scratched up with some M85 and a generic wool pad

After the menz

After wiping it down with a wax & grease remover solvent

Hohoho! Someone went Menzerna oledi!!!!! How's the cutting power? What speed did you used, or did you went for the pyramid style? Mind telling me where you bought this ( I'm thinking it's the Next Gen shop right? ) and how much?

M6000 too? Aiyah, why didn't tell me you're going to that shop, I wanted to check it out too. Got lost the other day, fark!

tdekany, what is your opinion about the working time, does both break down at the same rate.

Or one breaks down faster than the other....

you can work both forever. OP doesn't dust. 106 cuts more. IMO

thanks for the input!:)

poyo- poyo...hahaha, yeah I bought M6000 from a shop near the roundabout near Hypercoat, the shop sells automotive paints(carmix), and right beside it is a small detailing shop, selling Klasse kits. He also uses Meguiar's, Lake Country Pads, and Menzerna. And was kind enough to let go his 106FF, from the handwriting on the bottle, I think he bought it from the Next Generation Auto care guy that you mentioned as well. But his place is all the way in Pandan Perdana.

If you don't want to travel that far you can go order from that guy. And may be pay a little bit extra. :)

and yess tried it with 600-900-600rpms. WIll experiment with higher speeds when I have the time. Furthermore, the after pics above is with a moderately stiff cutting pad. Imagine the safety you can get from a soft finishing pad...woohoo

WOW, I was thinking that OP was closer to SIP than 106ff, I was way off. This is a good comparison guys.

I have never used menz polishes or optimum. But looking to try both with my new rotary.

optimum, no dusting! (this is good to know)

tdekany, your saying that 106 finishes abit nicer then OP, and has more cut?

this would depend on pad and speed also correct?

I am just learning to use the rotary so I try and stick with polishing pads. I am really not into the edge pads, after using meguiars pads (for some reason I just love megs polishing pad). I may try LC pads.

I think, an IPA wipedown will be much easier and faster compared to M6000 apply + wipe.

Hhhmmm...have you found out 106FF's level of cut compare to any MG's?

I can see the finish being quite nice, but will it have the same level of cut and cut speed when using with a soft finishing pad? My gut feeling is saying : no. Oh well, never used Menzerna bfr, so I dunno.

About the rest of the stuffs ( LC, Menzerna, Next Gen etc ), check your Hotmail!
