mellted crayon mess!!

hey group my wife's friend asked me how to remove melted crayon on her door and on the seat. Per her the crayon has glued itslef to the structure any good ideas on how to remove the crayon without causing damage to the car. toyota camery with cloth seats. the melted crayon is at the area of the door handle.....

Well i would get what i could off by chipping at it using some kind of cleaner. Then I would get my blow dryer out since its a wax crayon. I'd try melting a little bit at a time wiping it up til its gone. be careful though.

My kids left some crayons on the lid by back window. It stayed there for a year. Finally I took 3m tar and adhesive remover and tried it. Worked great. It's broke everything down and I extracted it but you could just shop vac it out and spray water.

Test a spot first to make sure nothing weird happens but I've used it on all sorts of material without problems.

Place a brown paper bag over the crayon stain and use a heat gun or hair dryer to melt the crayon. The brown paper bag will absorb the crayon. No need for wiping.

I use a heat gun and a rubber spatula to pick up the bad stuff and then use a body shop prep solvent that cuts through the wax and pick it up with more heat from the heat gun and a used terry towel.
