Meguirs #7 - Do I need to re-polish first

My black 99Z28 has just been waxed with Pinnacle Souveran. I just purchased #7 and would like to try it out. Do I need to re-polish or can I just apply the #7 directly over the Souveran?

Try it, but I'll bet you that it beads up and rolls off. I think you'll need to remove the wax to get the #7 to work.



I did a single stage medium blue '69 Suburban this weekend. #83 with Meg's red pad, #7, #16. The only way to make it shinier would be to sand the paint.

I'd sure try the #7 in a limited area so you don't have to redo the whole car if you don't like it ;) If it were single-stage I'd be a lot more optimistic.
