does anyone know. is Megs swril remover #9 2.0 a filler or does it actually elimanate swrils. does anyone know of a product that works better than this? thanks

I'm in the same boat. I've recently used #9, but it just did not give me complete satisfaction. Plus, doing research on here, I believe it does use fillers which I am not a big fan of.

I am interested to hear if anyone have used #9, along with FPII and SSR1 (which all have the same abrasive #3) that can give their feedback.

I have used #9 and I find it too mild to do much correction. I believe it does have some fillers too.

For any reasonable amount of swirl removal or paint correction something with more cut is usually needed.

#9 is mostly fillers and a waste of time, IMO...very little actual correction capabilities. For a light/moderate swirl remover, look at Optimum Polish. Significantly better than #9!

Also check out the Hi-Temp line of polishes at TOL. They work amazingly well for the price.

I use #9 as a "cleaner" because it is so mild. I smoothes paint that is already in good condition with very minor spider webbing. My car is rather new and silver so it works for me. For true correction you have to go stronger, #80 will work better if the marring isn't too bad.

#9 will do some correction if you use it with a rotary, but yeah, generally speaking it's too mild to do much by hand/PC.

Lots of products that work better, from the old 3M PI-III MG 05937, to Menzerna, to Hi-Temp, or even Malm's (which you never hear about here). But most of these products "work better" because they're simply more abrasive.

If you have paint that can't stand much correction (for one reason or another), the #9 might still be a good choice. All those "trade secret oils" sure do make single stage look nice, even if the marring is still (really) there.

I agree with others that this product, like many other meguiars products, is fillers.

Meguiars has many other products that will work out swirls with no problem. This is a very mild product, and probably mislabeled, but its not a bad product for paint that needs minor polishing before a new coat of wax.
