Meguiars Swirl Remover..

Probably going to purchase some Meguiars Swirl Remover for some minor swirls on a few cars.

Would you recommend doing anything besides claying and washing before doing this with a PC and Meguiars Swirl Remover and then maybe follow up with some type of hand wax and sealant and quick detailer?? If so does Meguiars make any good sealant/wax I can buy...

If you think I should do something different let me know!

Thanks,
Blake

While I used Meg's #9 Swirl Remover for years, I have been told it is somewhat out of date.
The #82, Swirl Free Polish seems to be recommended as a better product for today's paints.
As far as the wax/sealant, NXT Tech Wax does a decent job, but many people think it lacks durability. It will also leave white residue on some trim.
I have heard good things about their #20 and #21 sealants, but I haven't used either one.
My personal choice right now for a Meguiar's polish for removing swirls is #80, Speed Glaze.

If you don't have significant swirls/flaws, the Optimum Pol-Seal has done a good job for me as well.
I don't think it is available OTC though.

Meguiars # 82 is my favorite final polish for use with the rotary ... Poorboys SSR 2 and SSR 1 work better though with the PC.
Just my experience:)

#9 is fairly mild. If you have just mild cobwebbing, you can fix it with #9 and a machine like the PC. If you have much more, I'd suggest something like #80, if you want to stick with Meguiar's (as Charles mentioned).
I think all "waxes" from Megs tend to darken paint a bit. Nice for dark cars, maybe not what you're looking for though. #20 (sealant) was something of a rolling mirror, IMHO. Very reflective. Easy to use, lasted for months.
NXT helps hide minor marring. Sometimes leaves some streaking.
#26 is supposed to be very good, but I haven't tried it.
#6 is OK, but not really a "beauty wax." More of a production line quick all-in-one type. Didn't seem to last too long
Haven't tried #21.
Even the cleaner wax can look nice when used on paint that's in good condition.

Your plan sounds ok, but you'd need to give more details if you were looking for a more in-depth analysis.
