Meguiars Speed Cut and Ultra Cut

Well...Ultra Cut IS 105, Speed Cut is #95...for which they use the descriptive words "traditional-feel" and "user friendly" which they don't for #105. IIRC 95 doesn't finish as well, but I'm guessing from the description that it behaves more like a traditional compound than 105 does...sorry to be so vague but I'm sure someone will come along with a better answer...

95 has diminishing abrasives and 105 has nondiminishing micro abrasives.

Actually, that is not quite true. M95 and M105 both share the same TYPE of abrasives (Super Micro Abrasives Technology, neither of which diminish). The difference between the products is in the OTHEr chemicals and substance that make up the product.

M95 has more of the feel, look, and consistency of the traditional M80/M83 products, but the same level 12 cut as M105.

The original M105 has a newer, water based, fairly quick drying (and thus fast acting/cutting) formula.

The new M105 is still not like the original M80/M83 products, but it does have a more oily feel and has a working time closer to that of M95 than the original formula.

Hope that helps clear up some of the confusion.

Exactly (from my experience, not including the new M105)
