I'm really curious about this and it has more to do with paint than the product itself.
Ok, so I polished my car with this and noted when I got to a lower panel that the pad turned red(my car color, obvious). But on upper panels I got no red residue. I'm assuming this car was repainted, since I've noted spots of overspray.
My guess is the lower panels weren't clearcoated. Because, when you use a polish on a clearcoat you'll never see any residue on the pad because it is clear, right?
On non-clearcoats, you'll see plenty of paint on the pad. I realized this while trying polish on a toolbox. So, lets take a factory paint job. If you ever notice some paint on your applicator does that mean the clearcoat is gone. Since a clearcoat is between you and the colorcoat. Am I right on all of this?
thank
