Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer Review

Hey everyone, I was at Advance Auto Parts the other day and of course strolled on over to the detailing section. What i saw was a meguiars quik interior detail spray.

Ive used their quik detailer since i started detailing and for 4.50, thought the interior quick detailer was worth a shot.

This product is now my interior go to product for doing a quick interior detail! I used to use their protectant alot but it takes a while and is kind of a pain. This was the perfect solution for the weekly wipedown.

Application: Just spray it on the dash/plastic/whatever, spreads very easily and does a nice job cleaning and protecting.

Smell: Smells nice and refreshing

Dust and Ash pickup: No problems here

Finish: doesnt leave that cheap glossy finish. Has a very very nice matte finish, makes your interior look brand new like the day you bought it.

Overall a great product and well worth the money. If you are a pro detailer doing maintenance programs, this will save you alot of time!

In my experience QID has no sheen at all. Kind of makes you feel like your just putting down water but it does a great job at cleaning.

Absolutely a great product. Probably one of my favorite items made by Meguiar's.

Glad this was posted as I did see it in the same auto store last week. I used their Interior Wipes before and felt they were alright. I'll have to grab some on my next stop in.

As a aside it seems to me more and more detailing products of some reasonable quality are in the stores these days as opposed to just Car Soaps, Waxes, and Wheel Cleaners that used to dominate the shelves.

I think there's a trend developing where the average joe might be getting the hint that their car isn't just a place for empty McD's wrappers and cigarette ashes.

I used it for a while now I solely use OPP

The megs has a much more pleasant smell though. Does the megs contain any uv inhibitors? I am not sure that it does? :nixweiss

I agree that it is a good product for an interior that you don't have the time to properly dress, but it wouldn't be my first pick for protection. Nice for wipedown or light cleaning, though.

They're two different animals. The OPP is a dressing while the QID is a QD for interiors. It's to maintain that "just detailed" look on interior surfaces. It can be used on electronics and doesn't leave a film on glass. Yes, it does have a small amount of UV protection as well.

Yea you dont want to use it to *dress* the interior, but its a really great product for keeping that *dressed* interior looking great.

Like Spoiledman said, there is a small amount of UV protection, kind of like a booster shot for your dressing.

its a perfect product for your weekly customers!

If you want more UV inhibitor, IMO, go for a 303 product. They are really good especially for your dash.

I have used and continue to use Quik Interior Detailer.... great product and I really like the finish it leaves, leave as is or apply a dressing!
