Meguiars QD attracts too much dust

Hi,

I have tried to use Meguiars QD and after a few days of driving, the car has considerable dust all over it. If I wash the car and then not use the QD, after a few days the car has very little dust on it.

Anyone else see this?

What else do you use on the car? Any waxes or anything like that? I've never seen a QD attract dust, but I have seen several waxes that do it rather well. Were the days realatively the same as far as wind and things like that?

Yeah that's so that it will have something in common with their Vinyl & Rubber dressing. :p Using the V&R dressing under the hood is a big mistake imho because that stuff is like a dust magnet and under the hood will look worse in a matter of days. I think that Maguiar's Final Inspection works easier and better than the retail Quik Detailer in the maroon bottle.

Do you mean #40, or the Gold Class stuff? I really like #40 and the finish it leaves. I haven't noticed it being sticky or a dust magnet.

I heard that Meg's QD has silicone in it and therefore shouldn't be used cause it's impossible to remove and it's pemanent... is this true?
