does meguiars mirror glaze number 7 (show car glaze) have any abrasives what-so-ever? and what is the difference between number 7 and number 5 (new car glaze)? does number 7 just have more fillers or what? thanks in avdanced for the help, again... you guys have helped me out several times ..thanks

No abrasives in #7. And #5's main difference that I know of is that it was designed to work better in humid conditions.

If that's true, I sure wish they would sell the #5 here in FL instead of peddling the #7. I've never even heard of #5, but #7 seems to be in every discount auto store!

can get it online at autogeek.net

Thanks for the info., but I was talking in terms of it being OTC. I'll definitely consider it on my next order at autogeek. Too bad we don't get a discount at Auto Detailing Solutions. Then I can pick up #5 along with a gallon of #21!

Ya me too. I've got like eight to ten of the Meg's bags that I can't really use anymore of. I wished they would offer a discount instead.:2thumbs:

I'm always chiming in on Meg's #5 threads :D

I really, really like it *for what it is*, been usingit since the mid-'70s.

It's about the most user-friendly product ever and is definitely the most so of the Meguiar's Pure Polishes. Big difference for practical purposes is that you let the #5 dry before you buff it off (unlike the other such products). Not *quite* as nice looking as #7, closer to #3 and #81 IMO. Keep it off black trim.
