Meguiars Mirror Bright Automobile Shampoo Review

Well this review is long overdue as I purchased Meguiars Mirror Bright Shampoo over the winter. With the temps hitting the 60's here today I thought it was time to break out the buckets and do my first bucket wash in about 4 months. All winter I have been doing rinseless washes and it was time to give my Dodge Ram a proper cleaning. I know that this product has been out for a while and many reviews have already been done on the Mirror Bright Line but I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Product
Meguiars Mirror Bright Wash Shampoo

Description

Meguiars Mirror Bright Automobile Shampoo is a throwback to some of the first Meguiars products in their line. Simply put, it’s a great car wash reminiscent of the first time you washed a car. With a specialized carnauba milk formula, the Meguiars Mirror Bright Automobile Shampoo leaves your paint clean and with a slick, just waxed feel.

Cost: $9.99 for 48 ounces

The directions state to use one "glug" per gallon of water. Since I could not find the official measurement for the "glug" I went ahead and placed 3 ounces in my 5 gallon wash bucket.

Nice SUDS !!!!!!!!

Thoughts

1-Scent: The soap had a nice fruity scent to it and was a pleasure to use.
2-Suds: Tons that lasted through the entire wash
3-Slickness-Great...very slick and my wash mitt just glided over the surface
4-Cleaning ability-Outstanding.
5-Overall I found Meguiars Mirror Bright Automobile Shampoo to be a fantastic soap. I feel it is steps above Meguairs Gold Class and Deep Crystal Wash. I would not hesitate to pick this up locally if it was offered in Autozone, Walmart, etc. It's slicker and offers more suds that the other two Meguiars soaps. Although a tad more in price it is definitely worth the extra pennies per wash.

Did you use a chamois or auto drying cloth (as per instructions)? :D

Cool review though. Sounds like a good product.

Thanks for the review. I saw this at my local Autozone at a 2 Mirror Bright products and save $5 deal.

Here's some good info on the dilution ratio.

Mirror Bright Automobile Shampoo is technically a 1 oz per gallon of water, 128:1 dilution ratio, but we actually state on the directions of the bottle to pour "1 glug" per gallon of water. We wanted to bring back some of the old school style into the directions for the shampoo. : )

Lol, glug! This could be extremely difficult for those of us who are OCD about how products are mixed haha.

Ive been curious about the mirror bright like since it showed up. Was wondering if it was just boutique OTC stuff or the real deal. Seems like it may be some good stuff. Thanks for the review!

I'm going to give it a go as I picked some up to try out. I can already say that it doesn't seem as thick as Gold Class, Hyper Wash or even Wash & wax. I won't know for sure until I look at them side by side.
