meguiars microfiber with LC backing plate

Is it really essential to use the megs backing plate? I already have a LC backing plate and would rather not buy a new one. thanks

As long as the LC plate you have uses short-loop velcro (I believe most of the LC plates do) you should be fine with it.

Save your money. You're fine with your LC plate. I'm using 1 and haven't had any problems yet.
