Meguiar's combo vs. Klasse

I know that the Klasse twins are held in very high regard on this forum, and I am thinking of ordering them. However, is there a Meguiar's professional combo that is just as good, but perhaps cheaper? I know some of the professional line is available here at a NAPA parts store near me, and I think they can order anything in the line for me. Any thoughts? I purchased my PC today and am going to go after my '95 GMC extended cab which is red and thinking of this combo...

Wash

Clay? I recently clayed about a month ago, do it again?

SSR 2.5

SSR 1

AIO

SG

NXT or Mother's Reflections line if I can find it

This will be done with Propel pads (will the green be aggressive enough or should I order an orange too?). New Autopian, and this will be my first true foray into Autopian level detailing, I welcome all suggestions and corrections in my process.

Shouldn't need to clay more than twice a year. Unless you park near heavy industrial fallout/pollution -- do a spot-clay possibly --

ColorX -> Nxt is similiar to AIO -> SG

or consider the new Meg #21

The Klasse combination will provide more durability though.

For SSR 2.5 it is better to use yellow or orange propel pads.

Hope this helps!

Comparing Meg's to Klasse is like comparing apples to oranges (except possibly #21 as colche pointed out).

You can get the best of both worlds though by using the Klasse twins and topping with #26.

How important is durability to you? If you're like me I can't go more than a couple of weeks without reapplying something.

Yeah, I definitely want durability. I know they are pretty different products, but just wondered if anyone out there preferred Meguiar's Professional stuff to them. I think I will go with the twins... Thanks for the replies.

AIO,SG x 2, top with Meg's #26 Paste Wax..........Sunglasses!

**or**

AIO, skip the SG, apply meg's #26 Paste every 2 to 3 weeks!

AIO and SG would probably be most durable, but SG can be tricky to use.

You can try AIO/#16 or AIO/NXT, but #21 has been great so far in my experience, but it's still too early for me to say anything about its durability.

I have used both and can tell you it depends on the look your looking for. AIO/SG has more of that sterile shine that will last longer than any of the Meguiar's stuff. IMO the Meguiar final polishes like #82 or #7 will give you a more depth than AIO. The sealants like #21 does have a deeper shine too, but from what I can tell the durability is not as good. I have only used it for 3 weeks, but its just a hunch that it will not last as long as SG. Using a combo like #26 over SG will help with adding depth, but I would not use NXT or #21 as they have some very light cleaners that will reduce the depth of the SG.

I have AIO x2/ SGx6 on my Miata for the winter coat. I've since added 3 coats of NXT Paste wax (at least a week apart to allow for full curing) and the sapphire blue metallic paint I have looks almost as good as the Ktwins/Souveran combo but seems to last a good while longer (have about 7 weeks already including weekly washes).

Skip the SG then, or do you mean NXT on top of the SG?

I'd skip the SG, especially if you have a dark car unless you really need the durability. I like SG on lighter colors but it gives a silvery shine at an angle on darker colors. SG can also be finicky to use.

I get pretty good durability out of AIO/NXT (ZIO/SG will last longer though) and I really like the look. Honestly, AIO is a great base for any LSP.
