I've been hearing a lot of good things about this
stuff. Is this a polish with sealant, or wax or both?

Mike Phillips explained this to me some time ago. He indicated that it was similar to Klasse (not the silver bottle sealant) it has chemical cleaning abilities and I believe is an acrylic protection. Don't quote me on the acrylic part. So I guess you would say sealer.

So this stuff would be a good base for a sealer,?
has anyone used this and klasse, if so do they look
similar.

I've used it as a combo light cleaner and base for sealant before. I have also used it as a stand alone AIO. It works well - probably one of the best OTC polishes/AIO type products available in my opinion.

So I guess this stuff is a much better product then the
standard Meguiars cleaner wax? I remember when it was
called meguiars car cleaner wax, and was a completely
different formula, smell, application etc. The stuff would not
last more then 3 weeks, I used it for door jams, and some under hood
detailing worked great for that.

ive heard mixed opinions about color x but its not on my to get list or what have you, i would rather get some SSRs a good polish then lastly a good sealant or wax, but i prefer carnaubas personally im a wax kinda guy ...

i would rather do poorboys ssr 2 or 2.5 followed up with a paint polish then lastly your LSP of choice

might be a longer process but yes i have gathered this to be a polish combined with a synthetic acrylic style protectant basically 85 percent an AIO style polish but i dont suggest it .. unless u have a machine to apply it with u might be able to get good results

ColorX is a chemical paint cleaner, whereas the SSR lines are mechanically abrasive and intended to "remove" marring. I wouldn't say they were mutually exclusive of each other. I think you always need to have a good paint cleaning polish or AIO on hand, and in that case ColorX is a top notch product.

Color X is a heavy duty cleaner sealant/wax. It is used on less then perfect paint and a prep for NXT 2 .

So the "protection" in Color X doesn't interfer with bonding with NXT 2.0?

Depends on who you ask. I personally wouldn't worry about it. Some folks will tell you NXT 2.0 has cleaners that would remove anything the ColorX leaves behind. I've read differently at the Meg's board though. I think ColorX would make a good "base" for it, and have used it as such.
