Meguiars #7 vs 3m Hand Glaze

Not an easy question to answer. They're very very similar products so it prolly boils down to whichever product you'd rather use. I've used many bottles of both and, frankly, I can't decide which is "better". For their intended purposes, both work well.

But if I had to choose a glaze, my vote goes to One Grand Omega Glaze. How's that for mixing up things?? :dance

I've had some smearing problems with 3M IHG in the past. Meguairs #7 can be a bit hard to buff off if you apply to much or let it sit on the surface too long.

If I had to chose one of the two, I'd probably give the nod to Meguiars #7.

Another product that is often compared to the two, and considered better by some, is Mother's Sealer and Glaze. I'd read nothing but good things about it on this board.

Meg #7 works best, from my experience, if applied by PC.

3M IHG again works best via PC but is much easily to deal with if one must applying by hand between these 2 products.

If by hand apply to only small areas (2'x2') and work completely into surface. Remove almost immediately.

There are some more user friendly products available but I will not mention them to avoid hi-jacking this thread beyond the scope of the initial question. :wavey

I am with SRL on this one. I had smearing issues with IHG. Megs #7 is alot easier to use. If I had to choose between #7 and Megs #81 Hand Polish. #81 is even more easier to use.

Murph1083- As you can tell, this is a Coke vs. Pepsi issue. I have a few of these products in the shop and I just use whichever one I'm in the mood for. Generally, I'll use the #7 on single-stage and the IHG (or some other glaze) on b/c, but that's just what I'm used to doing.
