Meguiars #66 Quick Detailer, physical abrassives, chemical, or both?

I'm wondering what kind of abrassives #66 has, as I'm thinking of using it as a follower for DACP. Also want to use it as a one step for door and trunk jambs and my engine compartment painted areas.

Also, how is it used, the same way as DACP? Work until only a slight haze remains?

Being that it has abrasives, I would probably not use it for the door jambs and the like. #6 would probably be a better option. As a follower to #83, I would probably go to #82 or 81 and then your LSP.

I too would follow DACP with #6, or any other decent cleaner wax. #66 isn't a bad product but it's really a true one-step. It's made to cut fast and quick so a volume detailer can bang out cars.

If you already have it, I'm sure you'll be fine. Member "1CLEANWS6" uses #66 with very good results by hand (I've seen them) and I don't think he has any problems.

So is #66 worth buying a gallon of if I'm not doing "volume details"?? I've got a coupon to buy 1 gallon of it with a 32oz DACP and get a free meguiar's sweatshirt :o

I'd probably just sell the #66 to someone if they wanted it after I get it in (if I wouldn't be able to use it)

I have herd that because Meg #66 wasnt selling that well is was repackaged as Meg Colour Boost in Australia. Maybe I this is what ColourX is in the States.

On MOL they decribe #66 as "ColorX on steroids."

That would imply a stronger abrasive formula than ColorX.

Shiny lil detailer- your PM box is full so I will post it here.

I can send you an 8 oz bottle of #66 if you want to try it out before you buy. I am in grand rapids so it wont take too long to reach you :) or if you are ever in GR let me know and you can swing by and pick it up.

Let me know.
