Meguiar's #1 Medium Cut + PC...

Luster

COMPULSIVELY ANAL
I've read on some detailing forums (and on the Meguiar's label!) that #1 Medium Cut Cleaner is for "Rotary Use Only"...

I have been using it for years with my PC and it is a VERY nice product for the removal of scratches, swirls, oxidation. Sometimes it leaves a little hazing, so I will follow up with SSR1 or ZPC...

The paint finishes always come out perfectly.

But I've been "Warned" and "Scolded" on other forums against the use of #1 with a PC...:dunno:

Question 1: Can anyone give me a good reason not to continue to use #1, even if I'm getting good results?:surrender

Question 2: Is there a risk of damage by using #1 with a PC?

Probably the reason they don't recommend it for a PC is it probably dries out to quick. Doesn't have enough working (wet) time for PC use. You can usually compensate for this by using more of it, but it is kind of wasteful in my opinion.

I don't see why you can't continue to use it, if it is working for you. You would probably have better results or at least easier to work with if you were to use one of the products that is designed for use with a PC, 105, PB, etc...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I actually can't remember the last time I used Meguiar's #1 on anything. There's no good reason to stop using it if it's working for you.

I just wish companies wouldn't have 20 different products that do pretty much the same thing.:passout:

I understand why for the most part but at some point you have to start replacing formulas instead of just adding too. :notme:

It can get pretty confusing.

+1 Troy, I agree.
