You know, if lunch was at Chili's, I'd be there!

I wish I could attend but I am taking off the weekend prior for the OT.com National Meet and I just got back from Kentucky.

After the Autopia day at Meguiar's I'd love to go....I don't have the cash avalible at the moment though!:sosad

Oh well better luck next time.

Any chance of this being offered again on the east coast? It sounds really incredible!

We'll have to see how this one goes, if it goes well, then yes there is a chance you'll see it again.

We're getting this information out to the public about a month late. Please feel free to crosspost this thread to other forums if you think there is interest.

As soon as www.MeguiarsOnline.com comes back up I will be posting more information there.

What is included in the kit?

Kevin Brown here, and this is my first post on Autopia, so wish me luck.

I can already see that my avatar has GOT to be changed...

I am working on the specifics of the kits through the weekend. I can tell you that there will be two seperate kits available.

One kit is tailored to compliment the included Mirka Bulldog Sander, while the other kit is tailored to compliment the included Meguiar's G100.

I need to go to this but it would end up being $1000+ with airfare and hotel, which I can't swing right now.

Some day...

Wow Mike, that looks awesome! :shocked

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm getting married this summer, with money and vacation time being tight, I'd definately want to go to that even if that means flying or driving down from Canada.

Any chance it'll come to the Northwest region, maybe next year some time?

Hi InZane,

This is a trial run, so will have to see how it goes. Meguiar's Saturday Detailing clinics are now booked through Thanksgiving, (I have to add some dates because the server lost some new additions), and shortly I will be opening 2005 up for clubs to resever.

Part of opening up 2005 will include leaving some Saturdays for other events, not in Irvine, CA

Mike

I honestly would go to this if it wasn't so far away.

And if I had the money, of course.

But I think I'm going to see my grandfather on father's day and tell him he needs to show me how to do this kind of stuff in exchange for a few cleanings on cars on his lot. :)

Here is a little info. on one of the two kits available to you, should you decide to attend the Inaugural NXTti (iNtense eXtreme Training Tech Institute).

To begin, the NXTti Polishing Kit includes the world famous Meguiar's G100 Electric Dual-Action Polisher and W64DA 6.5" Velcro Backing Plate.

Two W8006 6.5" SoftBuff Polishing Pads, as well as two W9006 6.5" SoftBuff Finishing Pads are supplied to apply the included various cleaners, polishes, and paint protectants. More specifically, a quart of M83 Dual Action Cleaner/Polish, a pint of M09 Swirl Remover 2.0, and the NXT Generation Duo (Tech Wax and Spray Wax).

I almost forgot- You get a full gallon of M66 Quick Detailer Cleaner/Wax and an M9912 Squeeze Bottle Dispenser, too! -Note to the SuperManiac Detailers out there- If you've never tried M66, prepare to be stunned by it's performance as a one-step!

One of the benefits of the G100 machine is versatility. We've included an additional pad, a W8000 8" SoftBuff Polishing Pad to be used exclusively in conjunction with the two M9930 8" Microfiber Ultimate Bonnets. We prefer the 8" pad and bonnet system over the 6.5" for two reasons - They're bigger, so they can remove more product before loading up, and the 8" bonnet is easier to remove and replace when used with the supplied 6.5" backing plate.

Did you say, "clay"? Yes- This kit contains a 200 gram bar of Professional Grade Detailing Clay. We decided to supply the mild version of the Meguiar's clay, since it'll tackle 90% of the jobs out there.

To keep things clean, you get to keep the embroidered Meguiar's Shop Apron supplied at the beginning of the class. Even if you're not a professional detailer, you'll at least look like one (tip- While wearing, refrain from grinning, and suck as much air into your lungs as you're able to stand. This is my secret technique, and now I am sharing it with you.).

Since we're on the topic of keeping things clean, Jason Rose recommended that we supply a gallon of the all-new D155 Last Touch Spray Detailer. You'll be getting the appropriate bottle, a special pour spout, and a fine mist trigger, too. Just mist it on, and wipe away streaks, smudges, and smears. You'll be wiping with a trio of Microfiber Ultimate Wipe Detailing Cloths.

If by chance some of the training you receive is displaced by a large blank area in your brain, you'll be able to reference back to the supplied PES101V Power Polishing Video. Personally, I watch mine before every detail.

Not really.

Oh- This is the best part. I am going to try to shoehorn all of this stuff into a black duffle bag! This bag has side pockets, a front pocket, and zips open from the top. We're dolling it up by plastering the super-cool NXTti logo on it's side via embroidery. It'll have a Mirka logo, as well as a traditional Meguiar's race logo on it, too.

I will post the contents of the Mirka kit later today.

Quite a goodie bag! Sounds like a nice complete kit. One would be ready to tackle most jobs with it.

Thank you for the information.
