How good is Meguiar’s No. 20 Polymer Sealant?

Has anyone used it and what did you think of it?

How does it compare to products like Klasse?

It's an "O.K" product, nothing great. I would give Klasse or Zaino a big thumbs up over Meguiars #20.

I used it in August and it left a pretty nice shine and endured through about 4 months. It was extremely easy to apply as well.

But I agree with Showroom, definitely shell out the extra cash for Klasse.

I used it on my wheels and door frames. It worked well for what I used it for. The problem that I had with it is that it leaves a slight yellow tint to the car. Not good when you have a white car. That's my only complaint though. Its nothing to do backflips over but its a good product. I use Klasse on my wheels now because I think it works a little better than the #20 did. Klasse makes them look better.

Klasse looks great on silver! Check out the gallery and search for Klasse and Silver. YoSteve uses it on his silver car. There are a few more up there. P21S/S100 is an awesome topper for any sealant. I'd go for that.

Now this is the look that I want!:bow

You should click on the review link at the top of the page. Many of the products we talk to death about are in the reviews, including Z, Klasse, #20, etc., etc. It'll answer all of your usage, tips, shine and durability questions.

I actually like #20:up IMHO

I found that where I have lived (in some of the most harsh weather possible), #20 stood up better than many of the other products.

True, Klasse has a little better shine, and alot of people like Zaino. But If you put some S100 or #26 over the #20, you get the protection and a great shine! IMHO

Do a search. You will see that car polish/sealant is like women: some men prefer blondes and others prefer brunettes! :D

I'm with ShowroomLincoln. I was a big Meguiar's No. 20 user for many years (over 21 years), but I found Zaino to be a much better product.

I could see klasse being a choice over meguiars, but consider how long zaino takes to cure compared to #20. I could see letting my car dry overnight with zaino, but i really do not like to wait 24 hrs for a paint to cure.

Zaino takes about 15 minutes to cure with the ZFX. I've been able to put three layers of Zaino on my cars in about an hour and a half.

You must be working up quite the sweat!:bow

It takes me just over an hour per layer to apply, buff off, and go over with Z6.

Take me about 15 minutes on my wife's Escape, about 20 minutes per layer on my Taurus applying Zaino with my PC. By the time I'm done with the last section, I wait about five minutes, and then start taking it off, working from the point I started at.

And I still work up a sweat doing it that way!!

Or you could just go with Blackfire and get the best of both worlds !!

Meguiars #20 is a good quality sealant. It provides a hard finish, is easy to apply and polish off and is very durable. I also prefer Zaino to it now, but have used it extensively in the past and find no real negatives with the product.
