Meguiar`s Quik Interior Detailer

Anyone use this stuff? I tried this for the first time the other day. I have to say I`m VERY impressed. Leaves a nice matte "showroom" finish w a barely noticeable scent. It wouldn`t work for heavily soiled interiors but I think I have found my new go to for general interior maintenance.

I bought several bottles along w the fancy specialized 32 oz bottle!! Make me look professional.....

I use it regularly for routine wipedowns. Not a strong cleaner, and not intended to be, but perfect for what it does.

I like how it works but hate using it do to heavy chemical smell during use (especially when you spray it on cloth the mist that you inhale is horrible and burns). I have bought 2 different gallons a year apart both were the same maybe both were the supposed bad batch but I am not going to find out.

This is one of my two staple products for interiors.

It normally has a light, "clean" scent. If it smells bad or strongly chemical I`d think it was an example of the bad batch that slipped through their QC a while back and I`d contact Meguiar`s/the vendor for a replacement.

I also get a matching bottle and sprayer for all the detailer line. Mine also has a strong smell but I don`t feel like sending it back and waiting for another it works just fine.

Same here works fine and I am to lazy to send back. But I dont know if I will reorder again.

I love the stuff. Best term I can use to describe it, if you`ve never tried it, is an interior AIO. For my own well-maintained cars, I use Opti-Clean, as it`s milder and leaves a nicer finish. For the other family and friends DD`s, it`s QID all the way. If QID can`t cut a stain, I reach for OPC. Last night I picked up my rental car, a Black Equinox, typical condition for a 27k mile rental. All the interior vinyl and plastics got a QID wipedown, `cause it`s quick, cheap and pretty darn good. It makes it at least tolerable inside for the next few weeks while my Lacrosse is getting fixed.

I`d follow the QID`er with an IPA wipe down for sanitary reasons:) Hope your La Crosse turns out ok. I`m sure the paint will need some polishing. Hope you at least are getting some paint chips fixed with the "free" body and paint work.

I`d disinfect first and the QID. Though actually, I wouldn`t bother QIDing a loaner unless I was gonna have it for a looong time. (Says the guy who spent forever correcting a black rent-a-Suburban once :o )

I didn`t get involved in correction, but I couldn`t stand the looks of it the next morning when I saw it in the daylight. With a repair estimate of just over $8k, I`ll be in a rental for a couple weeks. Last night it got an "aggressive" washing, using a Nanoskin medium sponge. When I first started on the hood, it sounded like I was using 120 grit sandpaper. Fortunately, with hard GM clear, any marring induced was not noticeable over the already-present car wash swirls. As a drying aide, I used Meg`s GC Quick Wax. Now it looks like the average consumer "I wax it all the time" car, swirled all over, but shining.:)

Billy Jack- Yeah, when you`re gonna be in one for a while sometimes you just gotta do *something* :D
