Meg's protectant....applying help

I picked up some Mequiar's supreme shine protectant. I REALLY wanted to get something on my trim and dont want to wait until I get my sealant(UPGP) to use. Anyhow, I applied it to my trim before washing. My thought process was that it could do its job, then any overspray/smearing on the pain could be cleaned off during the wash. Good/bad idea? What do you guys recommend? Even if I spray it on a terry cloth and try to pinpoint my application, it stills seems to smear onto the paint and windows.

Also....is this product decent?

try aerospace 303 protectant for this, i think you will be much happier. Won't stain or run or anything, even after many washes and rain, I put it on everything plastic on my car and every car I detail, inside and out, engine bay, etc.

Is it greasy? Thats one thing I DO like about this Meg's product.

You didnt speak towards how you actually apply it. Or dont you worry if it gets all over the paint, etc?

But RZJZA80 even though it isn't peanut butter or grape jelly do you use it on chrome colored grille plastic and how does it show. LOL thanks for your sense of humor.
