Megs M0716 (#7)?

I needed to pick up a OTC polish today to finish my cleaning job. Best thing I could find was Meg #7 Show car glaze.

How does this polish rate? Where is it on the abrasive scale?

Thanks!

What made you think that was a polish? :nervous:

Megs calls there non-abrasive glazes "pure polishes". It is very confusing ;)

to the OP

#7 will make your car look wetter than without it(thats what a glaze will do), but it will only last a week or a wash It will also wash off if your car gets rained on. I can also be hard to use.

If you are going to use it I would top with a good wax to seal it in of a little longer.

Hi!

Just to add to everyone elses comments you should use a chemical cleaner before application so the paintwork and pores are clean.

Thanks guys for all the quick responses and great advice.

I'm not going to use #7, since what I really need is a polish to do some minor paint correction. I will admit to being confused with all the products which have polish in the name.

Since I'm a Zaino user, it's likely I'll go with Z-PC for my polish, followed by Z5/Z2. I have some more research to do in this area.

Thanks!

Ah yeah, forgot about their wording. Why can't we all just have a detailing glossary that everyone goes by? :D
