Meg's Interior quick detailer

You bettcha I have! :D I just posted a reply to another thread with a mention of the stuff.

Anyhow, I really like the stuff. Here's why:

It has very good cleaning ability. It cleaned the coffee stains off and around my cup-holder very easily... easier than some others.

It has an extremely low-matte finish that I like... and I mean low-matte. After you apply it, come back in a half hour and you will have a difficult time remembering if you put anything on... it will just look clean and new. If you like something "shinny", you won't like this product.

Very little, if any "streaking".

It also doesn't have an "overpowering" scent... it is a light fresh scent that dissipates fairly quickly.

Thats what i was looking for. !! I will have to order some asap/

Since its a cleaner, does it leave any shine to it? My vw dash has a dull look to it naturally and woundn't mind shinging it up a bit.

97,

Nope, hardly any shine... you probably won't want this product. It has a very matte look. There is hardly any change to the way the vinly looks... other than clean and nice.

You drink coffee in your car?? :bigscream :lol

I drink coffee in my car without benefit of a cupholder. I just set it on the pasenger seat. It's a good thing I have dark interior...don't worry, I'll be shampooing it this weekend ;)

looks like i will have to purchase this product and give it a try. i live very close to a detailing shop that sells mostly meguiars stuff and i will definitely buy this product.

how does this stuff work? spray directly on dash then wipe off? or do you use an applicator, wipe on, wipe off?

is it oily? thanks

Spray it on your mf cloth or applicator and then wipe the surface. This leaves absolutely no greasy or oily residue behind.

hmmm! u mention a lot that it has little to no shine at all. could this product be intended for the purpose of use after a protection has been placed, sorta like a regular qd would on a cars paint. i mean, if u think about it, it probably beats using a damp rag to wipe down the dash and such during a regular up keep. im pretty sure its use is intended for cleaning and maintaining the shine of a protectant, where as damp rag might start taking away from the shine and protection.

just my .02

That is it's exact intended purpose.

Like Boss mentioned, it really is a great product. I've been using it now for a few months and have experienced exactly the results that Boss noted...

It offers a light cleaning action and leaves a perfect matte finish behind. Further, it offers a light level of UV protection...

I'd be willing to bet that Dwayne @ Premium Auto Care could come up with this product if you were interested... fire him an email!

RP :D

Has anyone used it for cleaning and put another dressing, say VRT, on over it? I used 1Z Plastik-Reinger, a similar product, on my dash and it looked okay, but when I tried to apply VRT it wouldn't absorb in to the dash like it usually does.

Thanks Boss, i'll stick to using s&w to clean the dash off.

97,

No problem. If you are looking for something with just a bit of a shine (not much), you might want to try some of PB's Natural look. It has more of a "satin" look... also very nice and a fine product.
