Megs Interior QD

I've been thinking about buying this product. Sounds pretty good and the reviews have been great. Today i used my usual 1Z Cockpit and it drressed up the dash and plastic very nicely. I think I did it all in about 5-10 Minutes. So I then asked myself," Do I really need the new Megs Interior QD?".

What benefit does it serve over using your usual product?

My 1Z goes on quick and removes nice and even. Would The Meg QD be any benefit to me?

The Meg's Interior QD can be used on ALL surfaces inside the cabin. I haven't tried it yet, but I have some coming in today's large order from Autopia Car Care.

I tried it today, I like it. Its very easy to use , and it does not leave a greasy, shiny finish . I just used it on the dash , and it left a like new look, not shinny, not dull . It just looks like it did when it was new. I like the smell too, almost like a new car smell.

I use it on a daily basis for a quick dusting of my interior. I am on my 2nd bottle. Here is a great tip for your air vents. Spay it directly onto your vents and let it sit a moment. Then take compressed air and a rubber tipped air nozzle (rubber tipped to prevent scratching your vents) and blow the product out until dry. It leaves the vents spotless and looking better than new. Its alot faster and more effective than pulling out a brush and dusting the vents.

Why is this product better than just pulling out your usual 1Z,303 or whatever you use?

Or is the Meg interior QD replaceing those?

I would have to say its all personal preference. I never liked a shiny dash or even a dash that was dressed period. I use megs natural shine now and then but since QID came out its all I use. I never tried the products you are talking about so I cant really comment there.

I don't know about the 1Z, I never used it.

My Subaru has a matte leather & vinyl interior. I used #40 on it, and #40 isn't too shiny, but it gave it an unnatural look. After the #40 faded a bit I tried the interior QD, and it leaves the interior looking clean and new. As throttlethumb says, it's great in the cracks and crevices, cleaning everything up nicely and leaving it looking virtually new.

Interior QD doesn't have a lot of UV protection; it's a cleaner, not a protectant. But if you have a coat of something on there, it mostly leaves it there.

Again though, I couldn't say that it's better than 1Z, or that you'd like it better than 1Z, because I haven't tried that. For me, I find myself using a lot less of all the other trim cleaners and protectants.

It's like "super water" or something.

I've used it for the past few weeks and just love it. I'm not always impressed with Megs products (though I use the ones that impress me :p ), but this is very impressive.

I second all the above observations about it...smells great, leaves a total natural new look, cleans beautifully, and leaves a nice silky finish with no shine.

Its a cleaner (with teeny-weeny protection), not a dressing. It doesn't replace any protect, it augments them...much like an exterior QD doesn't replace waxing, it does the in-between.

Tom, I tried #40 for the first time today. I must say, I absolutley love the leather smell it instills! I'll see how it looks after a few days, keeping your comments in mind.

Thats pretty much what i was looking for. I like my 1Z, but a weeksly wioe down of tghe Meg IQD might fit the bill. I just didn't want it to remove my 1Z.

But then again I guess I could use the 1Z weekly as well? :nixweiss

I guess I'm just looking for an excuse to try a new product. :o

LOL you might as well get used to those sort of typos with me. I usualy am laying down with the laptop on my legs and trying to type. doesnt make it easy..LOL

I like it. Workd well in the car but I have been using it to clean electronics around the house, works well for that too.
