Megs deep crystal

If the first q is "can I use Deep Crystal #1 and #2 before FleetWax?" then the answer is yes. You can use any non-cleaner wax as the last step in the Meg's 3-step system and heh heh it'll probably come out better than with the Deep Crystal #3 ;)



I dunno why you'd put Z8 over a carnauba nor if it'd work out OK :nixweiss
 
guess I wasn't too clear. the Z8 as a QD was what I was getting at.

only had time to do the front clip on the 01, came out ok for a hand job. hood is badly chipped. my go for paint or new cowl hood will see after Chritmas.
 
Z8 as a QD???? That is some pricey stuff for QDing. Go to big lots, they have long haul QD for $3 for 28 oz. Great stuff.

That's what I was thinking, plus I wonder if you really get much of the ol' Zaino magic using just the Z8, let alone with Meg's DC stuff. Lots of QDs I'd reach for before the Z8 if I were using a wax-based approach.
 
pair of Blazers, tell us what you are trying to do? The deep crystal system is an ok system for a bit of paint cleanup, but we can't tell you what to do unless you tell us what the problem is....

this is what I did: wash-clay-DC1-DC2-Fleetwax

have 2 bottles Z8 that were given to me free along w some window cleaner and tire shine, don't remember the #'s off hand.

Yakky I'm just trying to get the truck through the winter, I will worry about cleaning it up in the spring. hopefully by then I will have a PC and some pads.:spot

my older truck was done by xfire here on the board and it looks great for a 15yr old. He did a great job on that truck. have a look at this one it the one in the avatar

more in my sig.the 01 need a good cleaning.

going to have to look into products for PC, some hints have been dropped that there is one in the near future.
 
Z8 is more than a QD. It's more like a spray sealant. Using Z8 over a carnauba is like pouring an expensive wine in a glass of Coors light:sadpace: Get some Duragloss AW for topping a carnauba.
 
point taken gentelmen. like I said I got it for free, have been using it on the 91 xfire did w/Klasse.

going to use what I have left of the Megs product and see how that works out by machine. I have a 93 Camry from work that is beat up pretty good, that should be good to learn on.

here is what I'm working w/01 Blazer. the Toyota is going to be my vehicle to learn on. as you can see it beat up pretty good :soscared: , that will be another thread. the boss has finally given it to me to have all the time now. that will make my life easier or harder as the case may be.

thoughts ideas comments.
