Megs APC on rims?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a SAFE alternative to buying different types of rim cleaners (one for Clearcoat/Chrome and one for Aluminum). Will Megs APC (strong dilution) do the job for any type of rims + is safe?

I'd be really surprised if it's strong enough to clean up most of the wheels I see (brake dust, tar, heavy grime, etc.) but I'd be interested to find if somebody has had good luck using it too.

if you have protection on your rims, it will strip it. other than that, i use it all the time on tires/wheels (that aren't too bad to begin with) and after agitating/cleaning, rinse immediately as you don't want it to dry on them. you gotta love APC, it's so versatile and cost effective...

What dillution do you use?

though you can dilute it either 4:1 or 10:1, i prefer 4:1...

So you use the same dilution on rims as you do the interior? Thats really APCing.

Edit: never mind. I misread that!

I'm looking at the same. Out of budget room for a strong wheel cleaner.

I do have Megs D103 APC+ though. Any idea if a dilution stronger than 4:1 would be harmful? Or just useless.

Hopefully I can get some P21S wheel cleaner in the future, but for now, hoping the D103 can get the light contaminants, dust and dirt off.
