Megs #9 swirl remover 2.0 under KAIO and SG

On the meguairs website, they say that #9 has lots of oils and glaze to help it work. I'm wondering if the M09 needs to be followed with an IPA wipedown before the KAIO so it can prep the surface for SG.

Thats good to hear.

I didn't know if the oils would mix with and change the properties of the KAIO since I put it on so thin.

I think the point here is if you're going to apply KAIO/KSG, don't do the #9. #9 mostly fills, has almost no correcting abilities, and those fillers will be removed by the KAIO.

Anyone know if the Optimum AIO product, Poli-seal would clean as well as KAIO? (In terms of oil removal etc as mentioned above)

That's not the point at all... #9 works very well as a light cutting/finishing polish even with a white pad

Then your experience is different than mine because I found it to have practically zero cut and only filled.

Just another case of "your results may vary" I suppose. For me, using #9 before KAIO would appear to be a wasted step, but apparently not everone would agree. I can live with that.

Did you use it with PC or rotary and on what paint?
