How well does # 9 cut compared to some of the other mild polishes out there???? Also does #9 help hide some swirls as well??? Can it be used in the sun???
 
#9 is a very light cut cleaner and its swirl hiding/removal abilities are fairly limited. If you want to remove some light marring or swirls, it will do fine, however if you have moderate swirls, #80 or #83 will be needed. For me, Meg's polishes are not very sun/heat friendly and tend to gum up if the surface is too warm. #9 can be difficult to remove if the surface is too warm, or if the product is allowed to dry or gum up. I have replaced #9 with #80 and have been very happy with the results.
 
I find megs #9 to be very mild. It'll only take out only those very fine hairline scratches. Its a good finishing polish but wouldn't really recommend it for swirl removal. If you want to remove defects I would go with menzerna IP, Megs DACP, or even Meg Swirl free Polish. I personally don't use Megs swirl free polish because it gums up fast and its very hard to remove and always hazes the paint no matter how long i work it.
 
My experience with Meg's #9 seems to closely mirror those of travisdecpn's. It is one of the rare disappointments from Meg's line. It is a poor swirl remover (and not much better at **hiding** them), in spite of the product's title (Swirl Remover 2.0). For a glossing polish, Meg's consumer product DC Step 2 is much better (as are others). I also agree that Meg's polishes are not "sun friendly", and they don't advertise them as such.

IMO Megs #80 (Speed Glaze - Meguair's needs to work on their product naming) is a far better defect remover (mild to slightly moderate) and provides a superior -- ready to apply LSP -- finish. My bottle of #9 sits "gathering dust" since acquiring #80.
