Meg's #26 paste rings up for 0.99 at AutoZone

AutoZone, Universal City TX (just outside San Antonio), 11 oz can of Meg's #26 paste wax rang up for 0.99. Dunno if it's some that they figure were damaged, or what. Some of it looks like it kinda bubbled up along the inside wall of the tin, and there are some specks like little bubbles burst in the top surface. Never used 26 before, so I don't know if this looks normal or not. Figured somebody might like to know about the price.

They're probably trying to get rid of them. The Autozones over here already sold out all of them when they had them for 4.99 a month or two ago. I tried to go back for more, but they don't even have shelf space for it anymore.

Weird. They still had the shelf markers for 9.99 in the usual place, and five or six tins were there. In addition, they had these on a wheeled cart, labeled on the cart for 4.99.

Is it a VOC issue that's forcing #26 out?

I saw it for $4.99 last week and was tempted to pick up a can. For 99 cents I'll pick up 2 tomorrow if there is any left.

Maybe so, but the plastic cans for Cleaner Wax and GC were still around when they came out with the tin cans. Why would they change that for #26? It doesn't make any sense, especially since Autozone had a sale on it and then eliminated the shelf space for it. I'm guessing Autozone has decided to stop carrying the paste version.

i picked up the following items for .99$ each!

(2) megs #26 paste wax

(2) stoners - more shine less time tire can spray

(1) prestone - tire shine spray

probably the best $5 i've ever spent! :woot:

that's normal with any paste wax (just condensed/settled). autozone is just clearing house on item(s) that they are no longer going to carry.
