megs #21 greasy streaks ?

i cleaned up two cars over the easter and used megs #21 as a lsp , both had noticable streaks on the hood and trunk that would wipe or qd off

car #1 was a 2003 merc in dark metalic blue ...that got clay and two thin coats #21

car #2 was 2003 vw golf that got machine polished with #83 &# 80 then two thin coats of #21

i applied the #21 in thin even coats , the streaks showed up in the first coat and the second coat didnt imporove things much at all, i tried a qd wipe down after a hour or so and theyre still there

i havent seen the merc sinse , but the vw seems to have evened out and its not noticalbe now:nixweiss

what could i have done wrong , i think it did it all by the book

I know there have been people talking about that happening with 21 I have used it a few times and had no problems. Are you sure u applied thin coats and shook the bottle before applying? Also temp might have something to do with it, 21 takes about a 1/2 hour to dry for me.

I am surprised a QD did not fix it right away.

M21 does streaks sometimes. Yes u must give the bottle a good shake b4 using. Also sometimes it streaks with polishes (M80) or some residue left from shampoo or claying QD's. And sometimes its the hot temp conditions or not long enough to dry & etc. Yes QD doesn't cure the streaks while wiping off. I also experience the same problem with u.

But sometimes it doesn't streak & I get very beautiful results.... Funny? But after a few days under the sun, the streaks goes away for me. So I'm not worry bout the streaks anymore. But nowadays I don't have any 'streaks' anymore. Funny.... Maybe nowadays I shake it properly, applying thinly & I'm not applying it on top of any polishes....? :)

yOU MAY BE PUTTING IN ON TO HEAVY OR IT IS NOT FULLY DRIED , OUTSIDE TEMP HAS A LOT TO DO WITH IT . DO YOU REMOVE IT BY HAND OR P.C . I HAVE HAD NO ISSUSE IF I USE THE P.C TO REMOVE . HOPE THIS HELPS

i removed it by hand ...maybe i should have let it sit longer , i guess i let it stand a good 20 mins when it was approx 70 deg or so outside

maybe i could have shaken it more too...thing is the bottle was so full there was no room for it to move around

i dont mind on my cars if the streaks go away , but the merc was for a my g/f's boss and although he's not picky enough to notice i like to make sure other peoples cars are right ..it looked pretty good , darkened the paint and feels slick
